If you have propane in your home, you know that it can’t be beaten for efficiency and versatility! But, to enjoy the benefits of environmentally friendly, clean-burning propane, you need to have propane in your propane tank. Many of our customers prefer our Keep Filled automatic delivery because it takes the task of reading their propane tank gauge out of their hands.
But if you’re a Will-Call customer, you’ll certainly need to know how to read your propane tank gauge! Why’s that? Because you need to know just how much propane is in your tank, so you know the right time to call us and schedule a delivery.
Go out to your propane tank and look for the round dial on it that looks like a car’s speedometer. The numbers on the dial indicate the percentage of how full your propane tank is. If the needle is on 60, your propane tank is 60% full. If you use Will-Call delivery, don’t let your tank level fall below 30% before contacting us to schedule a delivery. We recommend this so you never have to worry about having enough propane.
Reading the propane tank gauge is easy, as we’ve shown. What’s not so easy is remembering to do it. We get it. Life can get in the way sometimes.
But if you do forget, you risk running low on propane and needing an emergency delivery, or, worse, a run-out. When you run out of propane, you’ll need an emergency propane delivery, and you will have to have your propane tank pressure tested and all of your propane appliance pilots re-lit by a service technician.
With Keep Filled automatic delivery, that risk is gone because we take care of tracking your propane usage for you! We use our computer systems to calculate your propane usage alongside the local weather conditions to accurately predict when you’ll need more propane. We then schedule you for a delivery before you run low!
