Dan Stewart, Advanced PropaneDan Stewart “Mr. Dan”, as he is commonly known, and his son, Ted, started Advanced Propane in the summer of 1992. A native of the Laguardo community in Wilson County, Mr. Dan has a long history of entrepreneurship and service to his community. He currently resides in Laguardo with his wife, Bettye. They have four children, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Mr Dan has retired from all day to day operations of Advanced Propane but his principles for life and business still guide our team.
Danny Stewart, Advanced Propane Danny Stewart Danny joined his dad and brother, Ted, at Advanced Propane in 1996. Danny is the President and Chief Operating Officer responsible for day-to-day operations of the company. He is very involved with the Tennessee Propane Gas Association (TNPGA), the state trade organization for propane companies and suppliers, serving as President in 2004 and chairing several industry committees. Danny received the T.G. Tackett Award and the Presidential Award for his service on behalf of TNPGA in 2006. Danny has served as Board Chairman of the Lebanon/Wilson County Chamber of Commerce, and served on the board of The United Way of Wilson County. He is a 2005 graduate of Leadership Wilson, and a 2012 class graduate of Leadership Middle Tennessee. Danny and his wife, Diane, have two daughters and one grandchild. He enjoys golf and boating in his free time.
Ted Stewart, Advanced Propane Ted Stewart Ted and his dad, Dan, started Advanced Propane Inc. during the summer of 1992. Since that time, Ted has devoted many hours growing it into a leader in the propane industry. He is a graduate of the class of 2012 Leadership Wilson. Ted has retired from Advanced Propane but still enjoys hunting, fishing, and golfing. Ted is a native of the Laguardo community in Wilson County, and he and his wife, Laurie, have four sons and two grandchildren.
Scotty Ricketts, Advanced Propane Scotty Ricketts Scotty joined the Advanced Propane team in October of 1993, and now serves as Vice President of the company while also serving as General Manager of the Lebanon office. He is responsible for scheduling deliveries and installations, customer service and employee training. Scotty served as President of the Tennessee Propane Gas Association in 2007, and has served on the board, chairing or serving on numerous committees. He is a 2010 graduate of Leadership Wilson. A Watertown native and 6th generation resident of Wilson County, Scotty and his wife, Lenee’, have three children and four grandchildren. Scotty’s hobbies include running, hiking, golf, and Titans football.
Kevin Etheridge, Advanced Propane Kevin Etheridge Kevin brought several years of propane industry experience with him when he joined the Advanced Propane team in October, 2002. Kevin is Sales and Marketing Manager responsible for all advertising, trade shows and new customer relations. Kevin is a graduate of the 2008 Leadership Wilson class, and served as the 2014 President of Tennessee Propane Gas Association and as the 2016-17 President of the Mt Juliet Breakfast Rotary. He has participated in the Certified Employee Training Program (CETP). He assists every new customer by helping them determine the best use for propane in their home or business. Kevin is a Wilson County native of Mt. Juliet, and he and his wife, Jenny, have one daughter. His hobbies are gardening, golf, Titans football, and reading.
Judy Dunn, Advanced Propane Judy Dunn Judy joined the Advanced Propane team in May of 2002. Judy works in the office as a customer service representative. She assists customers and helps keep the office running smoothly. She has received HazMat training and Propane Safety for Office Staff.Judy’s hobbies usually revolve around her two sons and their various sports activities, but she also enjoys running and reading. She is a native of Huntington, Tennessee in Carroll County. Judy and her husband, Randall, reside with their family in Wilson County.
Melody Adams, Advanced Propane Melody Adams Bookkeeper, Melody Adams, was born in Dallas, Texas, and moved to Tennessee when she was 6 years old. Melody joined the API team in 2011, bringing 25 plus years of management and accounting experience with her. She and her husband, Steve, and their cats, have lived in Lebanon for 20 years. They have 4 daughters and 6 grandchildren. In her free time, Melody and her husband enjoy riding their Vintage Japanese Motorcycles. In fact, Melody is a field rep for VJMC. She also enjoys traveling, movies, logic problems, puzzles, algebra, arts & crafts, and reading.
Chuck Stewart, Advanced Propane Chuck Stewart Chuck joined the Advanced Propane team in 1998. Chuck is trained in all areas of work in the propane industry from service and installation to bulk delivery. Chuck is CETP trained (Certified Employee Training Program through the National Propane Gas Association). A native of the Laguardo community in Wilson County, Chuck’s hobbies are hunting, fishing, boating, golfing, and farming.
Brian Claud, Advanced Propane Brian Claud Brian joined the Advanced Propane team in November of 2003. Brian is trained in all areas of work in the propane industry from service and installation to bulk delivery. Brian is CETP trained (Certified Employee Training Program) through the National Propane Gas Association). Brian lives in Wilson County, but is a native of Centerville in Hickman County. His hobbies are fishing and spending time with his wife, Ruth, and their six children at sporting events. (No time for anything else!)
Andy Stewart, Advanced Propane Andy Stewart Andy joined the Advanced Propane team in 2003 as a serviceman. He has passed CETP Training including Basic Principles and Practices, Bobtail delivery, and Appliance installation. Andy is a native of the Laguardo community in Wilson County. His hobbies are hunting, fishing, and golf.
Luke Stewart COOKEVILLE – Luke joined the Advanced Propane team in 1998, and is General Manager of the Cookeville office that opened in 2014. His formal training includes Certified Employee Training Program through the National Propane Gas Association, as well as training in appliance service, installation and bulk delivery, plant operations, cathodic protection, and CorkenPumpSchool. Luke is a graduate of Cumberland University, with a degree in business and commerce. A native of the Laguardo community in Wilson County, Luke now enjoys life in Cookeville with his wife, Missy, and their two sons. Luke’s hobbies are hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors.
Samantha Barker Samantha Barker is Office Manager at the Cookeville branch. She handles customer service and is marketing coordinator. Samantha graduated from Tennessee Technological University where she earned a degree in Management & Marketing. Samantha’s experience includes 6 years in the hospitality industry (restaurant) and was an insurance agent for Bankers Life & Casualty. A native of Dunlap, Tennessee, Samantha lives in Cookeville and enjoys travel, cooking, watching movies, football, hockey, volleyball and playing the piano.
James Collins James Collins joined the Advanced Propane – Cookeville team in 2015 as a Service Technician, specializing in setting tanks and propane delivery. He brings 10-years of  propane industry experience with him, having previously worked for Cumberland LP Gas. Collins has also been a Captain and training officer as a firefighter for Cumberland County. Married for 28 years, James and his wife have two children. His hobbies include hunting, fishing and riding 4-wheelers.
Kale Burchett Kale Burchett joined Advanced Propane in 2014, as a Service Technician, specializing in tank setting and propane delivery. Kale’s experience includes a previous stint in the propane industry in 2007 working for API, and HVAC installation and service between his previous and current employment with API. Kale’s professional training includes Basic Principles & Practices, supporting his goal is to meet the needs of the customers he serves. Kale and his wife, Amy, reside in Cookeville with their two daughters. Kale enjoys time spent with family and farming.
Stanley Farley Stanley Farley HARTSVILLE – Stanley Farley is General Manager of the Hartsville office, that he helped open in September, 2014. A Macon County native, Stanley has 21 years of experience in the propane industry. Farley’s past experience includes owning Hydro Technologies, and 15 years as Production Manager for Mueller Refrigeration. Farley holds a LP Gas RME License and has had  CETP training, NPGA – all training, NFPA 58 & 59 training, and Hazmat – HM126 training. Professional training includes Supervision, Reasonable Suspicion Training and Homeland Security Highway Watch. Farley was the Mid Tenn Director for TPGA in 2013-2014, and is currently treasurer. Stanley and wife, Jane, enjoy time with their 5 children and 15 grandchildren. Stanley enjoys camping, boating, dancing, and working on the farm.

Jane Farley manages the Hartsville office, and oversees sales and customer service. Jane’s prior propane industry experience began in 1997, as office manager and director of operations for a local propane company. Her prior experience also includes being co-owner of Hydro Technologies and master production scheduler & budgeting accountant, giving her an excellent understanding of business accounting, marketing, sales, and payroll management. Jane’s professional training includes a LP Gas RME License, Supervisor Reasonable Suspicion training, CETP Training NPGA – All, NFPA 58 & 59 training, Hazmat HM126 Training. Jane served as Mid Tenn Director for TPGA in 2010-2011. Jane and Stanley are married, and love spending time with their family. She enjoys travel, dancing, camping, and the beach.

Jessie Johnson is a Service & Installation Technician involved in propane sales, delivery and installation in Hartsville. Prior to being hired in 2014, Jessie had 3-years experience in the propane industry beginning in 2008, was a diesel mechanic for 4 years, and was owner of Independent Trucking Company from 2011 to 2013. His professional training includes CETP, Hazmat, Basic Principles & Practices, bobtail delivery and appliance installation. Jessie enjoys fishing, auto repair, and time with his two sons.

Joe Bode is a Service Technician and has delivered propane to API Hartsville customers since 2014. He previously held jobs as a maintenance and electrical technician. Joe is CETP trained. Amy Cornwell

Amy Cornwell is Office Assistant at API-Hartsville. Her propane background includes part-time work from the time she was a junior in high school in 1999. Prior to joining Advanced Propane in 2014, Amy received a scholarship from the Tennessee Propane Gas Association in 2000 for her academic achievements and experience in the propane industry, that helped her get a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She then went on to get her Master’s Degree in Instructional Leadership. She taught school for 3 years before having her children – daughter, Kallie (9), and son Lucas (6). Amy enjoys Crossfit, spending time with  family on camping trips and at ball games.
